While there are many in our country that have turned their back on God, causing doomsayers to declare that God has returned the favor, He is not finished with America. We are still in the dispensation of grace, a time when every unsaved person has the opportunity to accept Christ as their Savior and join the church, the body of Christ.
Rather than brooding about the times we live in and expecting wrath to fall at any moment, it is the Christian’s responsibility to take advantage of this age and spread the gospel of grace. God has not forsaken us; there are still many being saved today!
Verses in this Lesson:
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
1 Cor 12:13
“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”
“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,”
“Destruction and misery are in their ways:”
1 Thessalonians 5:9
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”
2 Corinthians 5:17-20
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
