Jubilee

In Acts chapter 3:18-21 we find these words of great hope written; “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ which was before preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

In this day when there are so many entering the broad way to destruction; it does the hearts of the children of the Lord good to think about the time just ahead, when our Lord will return for a time of restitution such as the world has never seen! This period of time is typified in Leviticus 25, and is known as the year of the jubilee. (It is interesting to note that the inscription engraved on our Liberty Bell at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania are words taken from this jubilee chapter. It says, “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land.”) Lev. 25:10. Jubilee is on the way!

Now, as we see the Lord’s Day approaching and at the same time the falling away of our beloved America, there are some things to remember:

We are admonished by the great apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2, “Now we beseech you, brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus, and by our gathering unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as the day of Christ is at hand.

In addition to this, we are commanded to stand with our Bibles (KJV) in hand, as we fight the spiritual battles of our day. We must never forget that we stand safely protected by the whole armor of God when we choose to put it on! Ephesians 6:17, “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Proclaim, Proclaim, Proclaim Liberty!

Finally, remember the Holy Spirit is with us! Look for victories and blessings as we fight the battles set before us. The Blessed Hope is closer than ever! So, we should be singing as we go!

Wherever God has put you and whatever circumstances you are in, remember what the apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 1:7-8 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found to be praised and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Proclaim liberty throughout the land! Jubilee is on the way!
